Who was right?

Back in the day 55 years ago the debate on the civil rights front was whether MLK’s vision of nonviolent demonstration would win the day, or Malcom X’s (I can’t remember the term) “direct action” was the solution. Its hard to say. When I saw the picture above on Gab the other day I do know it was really powerful. Compared to the yahoos running amuck in the streets today, it exemplifies what a class act King was (at least in public). I didn’t really understand what king went through until I read, “Letter from a Birmingham Jail“.

How all this applies to the events of today I’m not sure. I went to bed last night after finding out Seattle cops had cut and run in the face of danger. They’ve now ceded 7 blocks of Seattle to violent protestors. The police gave up their precinct. What a country. I’d hate to see if we were ruled by idiots. Statues are coming down. I’m not even sure the Washington Monument is safe. Institutions are coming down. The Left is making change in America the Right only talks about. Militias, the Texas secession movement, they don’t have the numbers. They don’t know how to riot like black people.

I  guess the only observation I have is that MLK’s method produced lasting change. This more violent change may be temporal.

Ordinary Americans abhor violence. It was temporary, but you can count on the Democrats to resurrect it right before the 2022 election. Remember how the Squad, Kamala Harris, and Michelle Obama threatened more violence if we didn’t vote for Biden? People were stupid to cave in the way they did.

Violence has always seemed to come from the Left to me. I remember Trump had riots in DC on his inauguration day. Because swear to God their value system/motivators have always been emotion/rage based. Its not logic based.

But! I hope you had a great Easter? I thank God (so to speak) I have that to hang onto when things get tough. I can’t imagine the people who don’t have that.

Did you see ‘Eric Wayne’s’ (art & crit by eric wayne) 2 pieces on censorship? Those were interesting, as he normally deals with art. He comes from the left side of the aisle, but like a lot of artists he does not cotton to censorship. I thought you had followed him, but when I looked just now I didn’t see you account logo.

No, I don’t follow him, I will need to look him up. But art is about freedom, free thinking, and free speech! People on the Left are losers who can’t really function in society and want society to accommodate them. They globalize their personal problems and blame everybody else for them. There’s a lot of substance abuse, mental health issues, criminality, and sense of entitlement. Plus, they use “justice” and “the people” as buzz words to justify violence. They really have no substance in their arguments.
