On this date in 1976, Rick Monday of the Chicago Cubs saved an American Flag from being burned by two protesters at Dodger Stadium. If that happened today, ESPN would have invited the two protesters on SportsCenter and allowed them to describe how Monday’s aggressive act triggered them. Wasn’t no goddamn kneelers back then.

Hear ye, hear ye! I’m really sick of the weak, cowardly, anxiety-ridden Lefties who have no clue about anything.
Thanks Dawn, I didn’t ‘get it’ until I realized its not a love of your government but a love of your country.
I think I read somewhere that, in the past year, someone was put in prison for 15 years for burning a LBGTBBQ flag.
I don’t even know how you found that one! Yeah I think I heard that too about the LGBT flag. That is bizarre, you can burn the American flag all you want but not the rainbow flag.
I don’t even remember hearing about it at the time. I suppose it wouldn’t have stuck out because “everyone” was an American back then, even Democrats.
It sure is nice having you comment when you find something you want to say something about. I don’t know if other people are too shy or what? Because I get very few comments.
