The “Cookout”

Azah on ‘Big Brother’

In an interesting turn of events on a really bad show (Big Brother), it turns out the ‘fro bros got together in a secret alliance (the “cookout”) to target the white folk so that the final six were all black. Try for a second (one second) to imagine the outcry if white people had done that? (excuse me ‘dunnit’) Cities would burn. A bigger bunch of racists I’ve never seen.

That’s the sad part, how far we haven’t come. The war of the races goes on.

[Never having watched Big Brother prior to about 5 weeks ago, I did not understand that an African American (brother) had never won the show in 23 seasons. Now that I know that, I better understand their motivation for making sure the final six be black. I should probably write this date down, I think its the first time I’ve been wrong. It doesn’t change the fact all 6 seem obnoxious as hell.]

Sports Illustrated has gone down the tubes for several years now, and I’m not a man, and I don’t even read it! But they’ve allowed political correctness to override common sense, like so many periodicals. I watch very few current TV shows because they’re all so dumb. And some of them are outright racist, whether they realize it or not. I actually watch more foreign TV shows than American.

Yeah that’s weird about SI and ESPN going woke liberal, athletes as a class run conservative. Yeah 12 – 15 years ago I watched Ghost Whisperer. Now its Ninja, Tennis Channel, FOX Business, Hallmark Movies & Mysteries. I love BBC’s ‘Keeping Up Appearances’ and years ago when it was on ‘Are You Being Served?’.

I love “Keeping Up Appearances!” It’s so funny! We watch shows on ACORN and BritBox, especially the British detective shows. “Midsomer Murders” is good, if you haven’t seen it. And I’ve learned to really like Scandinavian shows.
