Amen. I would rather be in the Presence of God than given billions of dollars or have homes in the most beautiful places on the planet.
I like what Leonard Ravenhill once said, “There are too many Christians that are too comfortable in this world.” Or you could say, there are too many worldly Christians.
Along those lines I’ve experienced something I “never saw coming”. It had to do with retirement being a “life event”. You know when you’re a kid its all about getting through school. Then as you transition to adulthood its all about work and family. Then when you retire (for me at least), I had time to reflect. And the good news is the Holy Spirit “indwells” in me for sure. Every life event I wish I could have changed, not done or done differently comes crashing down on me. I wish there was a way to warn young people. But, if God wasn’t in me I wouldn’t have a care in the world, and wouldn’t have a conscience.
